Antenatal Classes & Doula Support in Milton Keynes

Looking for antenatal classes or a birth doula in Milton Keynes? I offer practical, emotionally attuned support through group classes and full spectrum doula care, so you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Maybe you don’t know yet if you want a birth class, a doula, or both. That’s okay. There’s no test to pass. No right way to do this.

When your midwife doesn’t even have time to ask how you are, when appointments feel rushed, questions get skipped, and you leave more confused than when you walked in, it’s hard to believe the system can really support you.

You can’t make informed choices when no one has time to explain them.

That’s where I come in.

This isn’t a glossy version of birth, wrapped up in a bow. Birth can be raw, chaotic, powerful, and bloody beautiful. You deserve someone who’ll speak honestly and hold space for all of it.

Antenatal Classes in Milton Keynes

The support you hoped your appointments would offer... plus everything they didn’t have time for.

A five week antenatal classes in Milton Keynes offering in person, practical support.

My antenatal classes are held at Bow Brickhill Community Hall, Milton Keynes. Five sessions, 2 hours each. 10 hours of in person support that goes beyond the basics ,making space for your questions, your decisions, and what actually matters to you.

This isn’t about birth plans you feel you should write, or methods you have to follow.
It’s about learning how birth works, in your body, in the system you’ll give birth in, so you can feel informed, supported, and ready to do it your way.

We’ll cover:

  • How birth works: your body, your hormones, your instincts

  • Navigating maternity care: your rights, your choices, what’s possible

  • Interventions & decision making: induction, caesarean, pain relief

  • Infant feeding: breastfeeding, bottle, combo feeding without pressure

  • The fourth trimester: postnatal recovery, baby care, and what comes next

You’ll leave with tools, language, and a clearer sense of what’s ahead. Not because you followed a method, but because you had space to ask the real questions, laugh too loudly, have a moment of "what even is this?" and get genuinely clear on what matters to you.

Doula Support in Milton Keynes

The kind of care your appointments didn’t make space for. Calm, continuous, and completely in your corner.

A doula is a continuous, calming presence. Not medical, but deeply practical. I’m here for the in between, the emotional support, the advocacy, the tiny details that make you feel safe and seen.

My doula support is about continuity. Presence. The kind of care that doesn’t clock out. We’ll spend time together before the birth, getting to know each other, figuring out what matters to you, what helps you feel safe, and what’s sitting heavy. You don’t need to come with a plan. We’ll figure it out together.

From 10 days before your estimated due date, I’ll be on call for you. Whenever things start happening, I’m there. In your space, in your corner, calmly holding it down while you do your thing. I’ll stay until baby is here, and you’re settled, fed, and breathing again. And I’ll check in afterwards too, when the dust settles and the realness of it all begins to land.

I offer one package. Simple and clear steady support, start to finish. The kind that doesn’t blink when things get messy. Or loud. Or weird. I’m here for all of it.

If you're looking for someone who’ll notice the shift in your breath before you’ve said a word, this might be the support you’ve been craving.

Meet April — Doula & Antenatal Teacher in Milton Keynes

The real story behind why I show up for this work, day after day, and what it means to hold space when the system won’t.

I’m April, doula, antenatal teacher, neurodivergent human, and mum of three boys. I’ve been fascinated by birth since I was seven.

But it wasn’t until my own experiences, abortion, miscarriage, two caesareans, and a vaginal birth after two, that I began to see just how much the system can fail the people it’s meant to support.

This work is personal and political. I do it because I believe you deserve better. Better information. Better care. A birth experience where you matter.

I like deep chats, woodland walks, moon gazing, and swearing a bit too much. If you’re looking for someone grounded, honest, and quietly rebellious, you’re in the right place.
